Hybrid cars are a must in modern times
Gas electric cars or popularly known as hybrid cars are very important in modern times for people, environment and country. The gas only cars specially SUVs transmit to much exhaust to the environment and eats too much of gas. US is not self sufficient in gasoline fuels and it has to highly rely on other countries for it. Moreover, the major benifit from the use of hybrid cars is that, it saves people money and saves environment from harmful gases since it has a higher mileage and emits less exhaust as compared to gasoline cars.

As the prices of the fuel is going up, so do the popularity of hybrid cars. The federal govt. is also supporting hybrid cars with all the heart in terms of tax benifits, entry of these cars in car pool lanes and free parkings etc. Lets see if this movement gets along in a big way and thus save a lot of everything.

Subaru car maker is going to get hybrid vehicle technology from Toyota
Fuji Heavy Industries the Suburu brand carmaker is going to get hybrid vehicle technology from Japan top automaker Toyota Motor to get into North American market. Toyota is going to supply hybrid power system to Fuji Heavy Industries which is going to make hybrid vehicles its main product for North American market.

Fuji on other hand is going to supply the technology on lithium-ion batteries which is being built with the collaboration from NEC which is being used by hybrid vehicles. The other auto giant General Motors has got 20% stake in Fuji Heavy Industries is partnering with German-US carmaker DaimlerChrysler and planning to jointly develop hybrid technology

Hybrid cars is to be used by Boca Raton Police Force
Boca Raton City Council approved the use of hybrid vehicle to be used by city police department. This is a welcome move Boca as it is a latecomer in appreciation for hybrid cars which is led by Florida. It will be buying 4 Toyota hybrid vehicles at a cost of $86,060 which will be used to transport assistant chiefs and captains.

It is heartning that govt. departments are also using the hybrid vehicles. It would inspire other to follow. Hybrid vehicles save energy and environment as it runs on gasoline and electric power unlike conventional cars which runs only on gasoline. Toyota prius is one of the most efficient hybrid vehicle in the market today in terms of fuel consumption. It gives a mileage of 60 miles town and 50 miles highway in one gallon of gasoline.
